Ferritin GBE-2131

What Is a Ferritin Blood Test?

Ferritin blood test is the blood test to determine the levels of body iron and iron deficiency.
  • A ferritin test is a laboratory blood test that measures the amount of ferritin in a person's bloodstream.
  • Ferritin is the major iron storage protein in the body, so the ferritin test is ordered as an indirect way to measure the iron stores in the body.
  • The ferritin test is often ordered as part of a panel of tests that examine the levels of body iron and the effects of abnormalities in iron storage.
  • It may be ordered together with an iron level, a total iron-binding capacity test, or blood cell counts.

Casein Test (Cassette) GBR-3110

Casein Test Kit

Casein refers to a family of proteins commonly found in mammalian milk. Approximately 80% of bovine milk proteins are caseins which are composed of α-, β- and κ-caseins. This protein fraction is the main component in cheese and is frequently used as a food additive.

Caseins also represent heat-stable allergens. Bovine milk is one of the most important allergenic food ingredients, especially for children. Consequently, the labeling of casein or milk is mandatory in many countries all over the world.

Although there are no legal threshold limits for casein, it is highly recommended that food manufacturers test for very low casein concentrations in order to protect allergic individuals and to avoid allergen-related recalls.

Fast and highly sensitive casein analysis

The Romer Labs casein test kit portfolio covers ELISAs and LFDs for the quantitative and qualitative analysis of casein in environmental samplesrinse waters and finished food products.

Detection of fining agents in wine

Casein is an organic compound frequently used as a fining agent in winemaking. In the fining process, casein is added to bind to suspended particles that will precipitate from the wine.

For wine samples, Romer Labs offers the validated AgraQuant® Casein ELISA and the AgraStrip® Casein LFD with a special wine extraction buffer specifically developed for wine analysis.

(AMP) Amphetamine Test (Cassette) GBR-3408

Directions for use:
      1. Remove the test device from its foil wrapper by tearing along the slice.
      2. Using the specimen dropper, withdraw urine sample from the specimen cup and slowly dispense three drops (approx 120 UI) into the circular sample well.
      3. Be careful not to overfill the absorbent pad.
      4. Read results after 5 minutes.
DO NOT INTERPRET RESULTS AFTER 10 MINUTES   Precautions:
      • For medical and other professional in vitro diagnostic use only.
      • Do not use after expiration date.
      • The test device should remain in the sealed pouch until use.
      • The test is for single use only. Do not reuse.
      • Wearing gloves is recommended.
  Storage and Stability:
      • Store as packaged in the sealed pouch at anywhere between 2-30° (36-46°F).
      • The test is stable through to the expiration date printed on the sealed pouch.
      • The test must remain in the pouch until use.
      • Do not freeze.
      • Do not use beyond the expiration date.
  Results:
    • Positive: One colour line appears in the control region. No line appears in the test region.
    • Negative: Two lines appear; one colour line in the control region, and another apparent colour line in the test region.
    • Invalid: Control line fails to appear.

(AMP) Amphetamine Test (Strip) GBR-3409

Directions for use:
      1. Remove the strip from it's packaging.
      2. Immerse the strip into the urine with the arrow end pointing towards the urine. DO NOT cover the urine over the MAX (maximum) line.
      3. Take the strip out of the urine after approximately 15 seconds, and lay it on a flat, non-absorptive clean surface.
      4. Read results after waiting 5 minutes.
DO NOT INTERPRET RESULTS AFTER 10 MINUTES   Precautions:
      • For medical and other professional in vitro diagnostic use only.
      • Do not use after expiration date.
      • The test device should remain in the sealed pouch until use.

(BAR) Barbiturates Test (Strip) GBR-3411

Barbiturates Urine Drug Test Strip is a rapid, visual, sensitive immunoassay test. The test is based on the principle of the high affinity and specific antibody and antigen reaction. It can be performed without the use of an instrument. The test utilizes a monoclonal antibody to selectively detect elevated levels of Barbiturates in urine at a cut-off level of 300ng/ml. Specifications • High sensitivity, simple, easy. • Accuracy:>99%. • CE & ISO approved. • Specimen:Urine. • Model No:BAR-U01D.

(BUP) Buprenorphine Test (Cassette) GBR-3414

sold under the trade names Subutex,Buprenex,Temgesic and Suboxone, which contain Buprenorphine HCl alone or in combination with Naloxone HCl.Therapeutically, Buprenorphine is used as a substitution treatment for opioid addicts. Substitution treatment is a form of medical care offered to opiate addicts (primarily heroin addicts) based on a similar or identical substance to the drug normally used 1.Application Buprenorphine (BUP) Single Drug Test Cassette is a rapid urine drug screening test that can be performed without the use of an instrument. Buprenorphine is a potent analgesic often used in the treatment of opioid addiction. The drug is sold under the trade names Subutex,Buprenex,Temgesic and Suboxone, which contain Buprenorphine HCl alone or in combination with Naloxone HCl.Therapeutically, Buprenorphine is used as a substitution treatment for opioid addicts. Substitution treatment is a form of medical care offered to opiate addicts (primarily heroin addicts) based on a similar or identical substance to the drug normally used. 2.Principle Buprenorphine (BUP) Drug Test Device is an immunoassay based on the principle of competitive binding.Drugs which may be present in the urine specimen compete against the drug conjugate for binding sites on the antibody. One Step Buprenorphine Drug Test Device is a rapid urine drug screening test that can be performed without the use of an instrument.During testing,a urine specimen migrates upward by capillary action. Buprenorphine, if present in the urine specimen below 10 ng/mL,will not saturate the binding sites of antibody-coated particles in the test. The antibody-coated particles will then be captured by immobilized Buprenorphine conjugate and a visible colored line will show up in the test line region. The colored line will not form in the test line region if the Buprenorphine level exceeds 10 ng/mL because it will saturate all the binding sites of anti-Buprenorphine antibodies. A drug-positive urine specimen will not generate a colored line in the test line region because of drug competition, while a drug-negative urine specimen or a specimen containing a drug concentration lower than the cut-off will generate a line in the test line region. To serve as a procedural control,a colored line will always appear at the control line region, indicating that proper volume of specimen has been added and membrane wicking has occurred.
