Open-Top Screw Caps

Use Thermo Scientific™ SureSTART™ 18 mm Precision Screw Caps with screw vials that have an 18 mm opening, including our SureSTART 10 mL and 20 mL Screw Top Headspace Vials (Level 3). Select Level 3 products for ultimate performance and sensitivity from your methods, while maintaining the highest levels of sample security and integrity. Choose from magnetic steel caps with all-purpose silicone/PTFE septa designed to reduce autosampler needle issues. Select High Temperature septa to allow for heating to over 250°C without excessive septum softening or the release of volatile vapors.

Use Thermo Scientific™ SureSTART™ 9 mm Screw Caps with screw vials that have a 9 mm opening, including our SureSTART 2 mL Glass Screw Vials and 1.7 mL Glass High Recovery Screw Microvials for <2 mL samples (Level 2). Select Level 2 products for high-throughput applications, when robustness and reproducibility are key. Choose from polypropylene caps with all-purpose silicone/PTFE septa of various hardness values designed to reduce autosampler needle issues. Pre-slit and bonded septa options are available. Our AVCS™ caps incorporate Advanced Vial Closure System technology to ensure optimal seal compression when closing a vial. Use AVCS screw caps with our SureStop™ vials for effective seals, consistent data, and increased sample throughput.

Provide unique, practical seals that are ideal for chemicals that deteriorate or evaporate in conventionally sealed containers with the Thermo Scientific™ Mininert Valves. Constructed of chemical-resistant PTFE coating, they provide an inert, leak-tight, high-pressure seal. The easy-to-use push button valve allows repeated and unlimited syringe-needle access to samples and eliminates the septum-boring that occurs with repeated puncture of traditional septa. Valves are available to fit Thermo Scientific™ Reacti-Vial™ Small Reaction Vials and Thermo Scientific™ Screw Cap Septum Vials.
