Grip Strength Meter

$743.00 – $5,364.00

Measure muscle hyperalgesia in rats and mice with the Grip Strength Meter, which gauges the forelimb grip force using a digital force transducer. Simply hold the animal by the tail and gently dangle it over the wire mesh plate until the animal grasps the plate with its forepaws. The force transducer, connected with the wire mesh plate, measures the strength of the animal at the time of the test. The battery-operated, electronic control device calculates the average of three measurements, and it holds the last maximum force in a “peak and hold” type readout until you reset it.

Micro Nitric Oxide Sensors

$1,027.00 – $1,074.00
The ISO-NOP007 has a tip diameter of just 7 microns and a length of 2mm. The response is linear over a wide dynamic concentration range of NO. The design is based on a single carbon fiber coated with WPI's NO-selective membrane. A detection limit of approximately 1 nM NO makes this electrode ideal for use in tissues and microvessels.

$7,571.00 – $10,903.00
his unit, which is designed for testing narcotics and strong non-narcotic drugs, offers both Plantar (Hargreaves Method) and Tail Flick testing with a single unit. Either testing system is also available individually. II-390G : In plantar mode, the visible light/heat source is directed at the paw or other desired body part, and in tail flick mode it is directed at the subjects’ tails. Test up to 12 mice or 6 rats simultaneously.

Tidas-E Base Series Photo Diode Array Spectrometer

Instruments/Platform, Analyzers, Fiber Optic Analyzer
$15,431.00
WPI’s Tidas series is a high end fiber-optic spectrometer module designed for low noise applications. The Tidas series outperforms conventional bench-based spectrophotometers and CCD-based spectrometer modules, when it comes to high precision fiber optic sampling. It relies on a monolithic optical bench made by Zeiss, which is optimized for fiber optic applications. Most cuvette-based standard spectrometers lose more than 90% of light through expensive prism decoupling. The Tidas series is designed for fiber optic sampling cells. Using suitable light sources and sample cells, spectral detection in the wavelength range of 190 to 1100 nm can be performed at noise levels < 0.04 mAU peak to peak.

Dummy Load Resistor Kit

Analyzers, Amplifiers, Instruments/Platform, Stimulators, Stimulator Accessories
$156.00
A365 can be used as a precise voltage source by placing a precision “dummy” resistor load across the output terminals. Precision resistors (such as the 100 Ω, 1000 Ω and 10,000 Ω resistors in WPI’s optional Dummy Load Resistor Kit #DRL) when placed across the output terminals convert the precision current levels to accurate voltage levels. For example, 1 milliampere flowing through 1000 Ohms will produce 1 volt across the output terminal pair. Thus, models A365D and A365R can be used as low noise sources of accurate voltage pulses or DC. To maintain less than 1% error, avoid shunting the output dummy resistor with a load resistance less than 100 times the dummy resistance value.
